Some numbers here, source is www.gwchars.de . Of course it only lists the characters registered there, not the total amount in game, but I believe it is a good sample/poll value:
Most frequent professions (Number of characters) 1. Monk (11.708) 2. Warrior (10.626) 3. Elementalist (10.557) 4. Ranger (9.035) 5. Necromancer (8.956) 6. Assassin (7.365) 7. Dervish (6.323) 8. Ritualist (5.216) 9. Mesmer (5.131) 10. Paragon (4.162) Popular professions (% of main characters) 1. Warrior (40.6%) 2. Elementalist (36%) 3. Monk (35.4%) 4. Ranger (30.3%) 5. Necromancer (29.2%) 6. Dervish (23.6%) 7. Assassin (21.2%) 8. Mesmer (14.8%) 9. Ritualist (14.6%) 10. Paragon (13.9%) It's interesting to note each profession rank on both charts. For example, Monk is the #1 most registered character, however it only ranks #3 as main character (meaning lots of people probably have Monks to use them for farming, or simply like the profession/looks, etc). |
